Steve Mefford

Steve got an early start in technology – as a young man he liked to dismantle and try to fix all things electronic, like tube televisions and cassette players. When he was a high-school senior, Steve decided to go into the United States Marine Corps, where he served for 5 years as an avionics electrician working on jets and helicopters. After the Marines, Steve attended Eastern Illinois University, where he received his bachelor’s degree.

In 1996 he began working for TechKnowledgy Education Centers, selling Microsoft and Novell certified engineer training classes to both corporate clients and individuals. From there he moved to Callero Management Information Systems, where he developed sales strategies and tactics to successfully grow the business in the EDI bar coding and inventory control sector. When he began to lose interest in the tech field, he took a sales role with Tubular Steel, a national distributor of all types of steel tubing. During his first full year with the company, he was named Salesperson of the Year, and realized he had found his niche. He went on to hold sales positions with Tatung Science and Technology, a manufacturer of SPARC computer systems, and with Midwest Computer Products, a company that sold all sorts of AV equipment focused on the education market. This was where Steve first was introduced to Mimio. He understood the technology and was energized by what it could do and what it meant to educators in terms of both functionality and affordability.

In Mimio, Steve found his passion. He joined Mimio in August, 2006 and has never looked back. After working for Mimio in National Accounts and Partner Development and managing a regional sales team, he became the National Sales Manager for Mimio. No one who works with Steve ever questions his unrelenting passion for Mimio products and brand!

IMPORTANT: Partner Resources and Lead Management Updates

Thanks to all who attended the Mimio Partner Webinar yesterday. We’re pleased to provide you with a more intuitive Partner Resources home page and an easy way to get to your Mimio leads. Those of you who were unable to attend the Mimio Partner Webinar should make a point to listen to the recording of the Webinar, so that you will understand the updates to Partner Resources and new process for receiving your leads. The recording for the Webinar will be available on Monday, 8/4, on Partner Resources.  It is entitled “ Updates to Partner Resources and Lead Management Training.  

 

Below are the high-level items we covered:

 

New Lead Management

All your Mimio leads will now come through Mimio Partner Resources. There will be a link on the home page that takes you to your leads. You will be able to see all of your SORs, easily create a SOR from the lead, and manage your Mimio leads on this one page.

 

Partner Resources Facelift

We are also updating the look and feel of Partner Resources to include:

  • Icons on the home page, which link to some of the most important types of information in Partner Resources
  • A button on the home page that takes you directly to your leads
  • A news section, to keep you up-to-date with the latest Mimio news

 

All of these changes go live tomorow, August 1stIf you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your Mimio Territory Manager.

Time to Cash In on our MimioPad 1 Spiffy SPIFF!

Mimio has run out of MimioPad 1 units and guess what that means for you?  That’s right, if you are a Silver or Gold Partner, it’s time to collect your MimioPad 1 SPIFF!  You have until August 5, 2014 to submit your SPIFF Excel spreadsheet to redeem your spiffy MimioPad 1 SPIFF.  For all of the information about how to submit your SPIFF or for the actual SPIFF Excel spreadsheet to fill in, please read the initial communication available here.
